Hello! My name is Arianna Aloia. I am 21 years old and I was born and raised in Canyon Lake, Texas. I am currently going into my third year of college at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and I am majoring in Communications with an emphasis on Media Production. Usually, you will see me with a camera in my hands. I have a passion for capturing moments and creating them into memories that people can cherish forever.
I guess you could say that this all started at a young age. Every field trip I went on in elementary school, I ALWAYS brought a disposable camera. My parents bought me a camera phone while I was in the fifth grade and I always maxed out my storage with photos and videos (I still do). Then for Christmas in 2010, my parents bought me a laptop and let me tell you, Windows Live Movie Maker was my bestest friend EVER. Before school, my friends and I would go into the bathroom and we would make dumb middle schooler videos that I would post to my old YouTube channel (which no longer exists sadly, because people started making fun of me and I used to care too much). I apologize to the upper class-men that watched those videos. I was truly “that middle schooler”. I continued making videos but I no longer posted them. I just kept them for myself to have and look back on.
Towards the end of high school I started to get inspiration from YouTubers, travelers, and even a few fellow friends to start making videos again. Only this time, I would actually be making better quality videos and not just videos of a bunch of middle schoolers flickering the lights in the bathroom. Junior year I filmed the “senior video”, in which us Juniors had to mimic the seniors and basically roast them (yeah, I really just said roast). It was a blast to make and everyone loved the final product so I wanted to make more videos. Senior year we did so many eventful things and if you saw me you would know I had my camera in my hands at just about every event. I made a camp video with my GoPro Hero 4 and people really really liked it and thats when I knew this is what I was made for. I was made to capture these memories for people to look back on. Thank you to my fellow class of 2017 who encouraged me. Y’ALL ROCK. But, for some reason I thought I was made to be an orthodontist and so my first semester of college was spent with lots of painful biology and chemistry assignments instead of me learning how to adjust the aperture and ISO on a camera.
Anyways, I am now doing what I love. Photography and Videography. I have an amazing job with the school news team at my college along with my side job of being a photographer and videographer. Contact me to book:)
